Moving to Keokuk for a couple of months to volunteer and looking to continue my salsa dancing lessons.
Mostly just a lot of corn. Sorry.
Mmk, So we finally found a place for me to do Ballroom, & I’m very Happy. Its 12+ I’m 12 years & look older. Now The Owner said there Hasent been any Boys that have Signed up. & Now if theres no boys or shortage of boys, will we have to dance girl&girl, Or just Pretending if you get my Dirft. And yes, it is a Dumb Question But Thank you!
Let’s hope that enrollment is still open and you will get some boys in that class. Most likely, you will "rotate", meaning change partners several times during the class. Which means Sometimes you will be dancing with imaginary partner. It is hard to grasp both Leaders and Followers parts at the same time, so you most likely won’t be dancing girl&girl if everyone is a complete beginner.
However, if you have significant shortrage of leaders, some girls might decide to learn leader’s role instead of the follower’s. This is usually done by those who is familiar with the followers part to some degree, but they want to know both parts.
No, it’s not a dumb question.
Maybe suggest it to a boy you know to take the same class?
I live in Riverside County CA Where can my fiance and I take ballroom dance classes for our Wedding?
Where can we take ballroom dance lessons for our first dance, and possible regular dancing?
Fred Astaire offers wedding packages. You get a dance (of your choice) to you choice of song, choreographed for your first dance. They also have private lessons and group classes for couples as well. It’s a blast! You could also try www.ballroomdancers.com and search for studios in your area. Good luck! I hope the wedding is beautiful!
Hi. I’m a sixteen year old girl, and I’m interested in taking Ballroom Dance Lessons. I was hoping there would be someplace I could go to in Oregon? Preferably more around Salem, but anywhere is good. Your help is greatly appreciated ![]()
Two resources for you.
The first one is the Willamette Chapter of USA Dance. They don’t teach but they are the organization that represents both social and competitive ballroom dancers. Their website is here:
http://www.portlandballroomdancers.com/
They may have a list of studios in the area. If they don’t a phone call could help you out. Like I said, they don’t teach, but they’ll know who’s who.
The second is www.rjdance.com. Its a dance studio in Salem. However, I know nothing about this studio or its quality.
