Hey people, I was wondering if there is any place to learn the language Latin (not the dance!) in Surrey, BC. I need it close to North Surrey. I really would like to learn this language and every time I search it up on Google, it shows Latin dance lessons.
Trinity Western is a little too far, and I am a high school student
As Latin is a dead language, you will probably have a hard time finding a class at local community centers – it’s more of a college/university thing.
Congrats on taking an interest in Latin though, you will have a much greater understanding of the English language and how words are built. If you know some basic Latin and Greek roots you can basically look at a word you’ve never seen or heard before and make a pretty accurate guess as to it’s meaning, which is super cool, and super useful!
Since you will not be speaking Latin, I don’t think you really need to find a class, I’m sure an online or distance education course would suffice.
How about starting with a free online course?

Well, this is a funny one I think. The name of this salsa dance pattern was given by our videographer because every time I taught the salsa dance move, I would make a ‘boop’ sound similar to that one on the radars in submarines.
I usually use this salsa dance move to give me more time to think what salsa dance move I will be doing next. Good to have it in the ‘salsa dance arsenal’ of moves.

The Houston Salsa Dancers Inc. is a non-profit organization that has developed several programs that continues to teach inner city students how to dance. It’s main purpose is not only to expose students to different Latin communities, cultures, and heritage through dance, but also to facilitate a positive body image and increased self esteem. An integral part our mission is to offer yearly scholarships to students that are involved in the Houston salsa dance community. In the year 2000, the Houston Salsa Congress began as the first of its kind in the State of Texas. This congress now continues a rich tradition with the fifth installment in a series that highlights the beauty, creativity, and precision of Latin dance.
