I just started ballroom and latin dancing, and I have a competition coming up. Were can I buy a nice dress and shoes (not reely high, it’s my first year) for an affordable price in the GTA? PLEEZ NO ONLINE STORES, unlees you’re goving me a real stores webpage. thnx in advance!!

(i’m a girly girl, i love pink)

i know you’re not going to like this, but go to 2nd hand stores.
goodwill, etc.
there are also some that are more fancy.
you get far more for your money.
and it’s not like you’re gonna wear the stuff to work.

just try a couple.
there is surely junk there.
there’s also stuff that is just too gaudy for normal dress, but is perfect for dancing.

The second hand store is not a bad suggestion. I score a couple amazing dance dresses this way. Do you have a Dots in Toronto? Either way, it does mean separating the wheat from the chaff, but in the long run you stand to save a lot of cash. However, my fave Latin dress was (and still is) a $50 number from Bryans of all places… so you just never know.

    Good luck!

www. USADanceShoes .com They have very very affordable clothing and shoes they also take paypal. If this is first competition, let me be the first to explain that you need to wear lots and lots and lots of makeup – even if you dont normally, you are performing and the judges will be seeing you from far away and you want your features on your face to stand out – big eye makeup looks great when you are dancing. Also be comfortable in what you wear – do not wear a bra that will be uncomfortable or that the straps will fall down. and if you wear a circle skirt – wear bloomers or ‘dance pants’ no one wants to see your underwear…. for the hair if you have long hair – pull it back from the face and in a way that your partner wont knock it out. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY smile :) ;) :) look like you are having fun and the judges will love you! Good luck

well if u live in charleston south carolina, i can help u w/ a store. (its next to the Bistro 64 resturuant). but if not, u can go on many online stores and buy new or used shoes. here are some places u can go:
    http://www.ballroomdancers.com
    http://www.ballroominmotion.com
    http://www.brasstango.com

and there are many more.if the few i gave u didn’t help than u can go onto google and type in ‘ballroom apparel’.
    Good luck!

P.S.- unfortunantly, most if not all ballroom costumes and shoes are kinda expensive(around $50 and up).
